adopted from one of my all-time favorite quotes x

The thing I particularly love about this is the fact that the way happiness is described is so very ordinarily simple that it leaves little room for questions. Most of us, if not all, must have already experienced (or will experience at some point in our lives) that moment — that reaching out to pull what’s warm towards us — and we didn’t even realize that that was happiness in its barest and simplest form. It’s as if you are unwrapping a particularly large birthday or Christmas present and you find yourself amidst layers upon layers of gift wrap, only to find a token after all of it.

Isn’t that happiness? A token representing something of greater value?
